At one time or another, almost everyone grabs a bite to eat at a fast-food restaurant. Selecting healthier fare from the Burger King or McDonald's fast-food menu is uncomplicated if you are knowledgably informed on the basic  details of nutrition value. Using a diet point system can be helpful, as well.

Dinning on fast food does not have to be a fat and calorie catastrophe if you make some intelligent choices. When it comes to beneficial fast-food options, the formula is simple... stay away from the "extras," pass on anything "supersized" and omit all fried items. Sharing one meal with a companion will reduce your consumption of fat and calories by half.

Concentrate on grilled, baked, broiled and food high in fiber. Fresh vegetables whenever possible, is a healthful rule of thumb. Avoid, however, the consequence of adding a mountain of fat and calories to a salad with the toppings you choose.
