We Should All Eat Foods that Are High in Fiber
We all need fiber in our diet. Fiber has been known to be a carbohydrate found in plant foods. Like the fiber found in grains, fruits and vegetables. Doctors recommend us eating food that contains fiber in our diet everyday. Eating food high in fiber can have good health benefits. A diet that is high in fiber can help us to prevent constipation and hemorrhoids. It has also been said that eating plenty of food containing fiber over the years can prevent certain types of cancer. Eating foods that are high in fiber can also help control the level of sugar in our blood. And eating fiber can also help to lower the level of cholesterol in our blood. Eating high fiber foods can be very important to our health.When you add high fiber foods to your diet. Increase the amount you eat little by little in to your diet. This way your stomach can have time to get adjusted to this change. Sometimes if you add fiber to your diet too fast it can make you have bloating, gas and diarrhea problems. This does not happen to everyone but some may experience these problems. If on a high fiber diet it is good for you to drink plenty of water each and every day. And others liquids too. Some foods that are high in fiber are fresh fruits, vegetables, breads and grains. Just to name a few of them. There are certain snacks that you can eat that are high in fiber. Some of these snacks are popcorn, fruits, vegetables and nuts.
There are two types of fibers in food. They are soluble and insoluble. Soluble fiber can be present in foods like barley, beans, peas, oats and certain fruits and vegetables. Insoluble fiber is present in most vegetables and whole grain foods. Most all foods can contain different mixtures of these two fibers. So eating high fiber foods will give you the benefits of both types of these fibers.
